This October the international steel industry will be meeting in The Marmara Hotel (Istanbul) under the aegis of Business Forum and Metal Expert.
The event will provide participants with an up-to-day overview of the semis production and trade worldwide. The first day (7 October) will be focused on billets, the second (8 October) on slabs.
World steel semis market (58-60 mln tonnes per year) has undergone some serious changes both in terms of prices and trade flows over recent years, with single country - China – being the major reason of all those alterations having increased slabs and billets exports in 2005-2006 and then reduced it drastically in 2007.
Besides, India has started to export billets regardless of the introduction of 15% customs duty. Turkey has become a net exporter of slabs and further export growth is quite possible within the next 2 years. Several export-oriented slab projects are to be performed in Brazil. What should we expect in billets and slabs market dynamics, prices and volumes, traditional and new market players – these are the issues to be discussed.
High level of investigation of the steel producing industry can grant solution providers a platform to meet marketing and business development objectives.
Conference offers opportunity to make contact with current and new partners and share one’s own view among the audience of professionals.
The event attendees are steel semis producers (Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Brazil and India) and consumers (Turkey, Middle East and EU).
