China launches final anti-dumping investigation on imported PVC

The Ministry of Commerce announced Monday that it had launched a final investigation of anti-dumping measures on imported polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as of September 29.
The ministry said the investigation has been requested by China's PVC industry, the investigating targets are imported PVC products originated from the United States, Korea, Japan, Russia and Taiwan.
The Ministry of Commerce began to collect anti-dumping duties on PVC imported from the United States, Korea, Japan, Russia and Taiwan since 29, September of 2003 and lasted for five years to 29 September of 2008, but domestic PVC industry requested the Ministry of Commerce to continue collecting ADD from these places.
The relevant investigate will last for one more year and to be ended on Sep 29 2009, which to see if China will continue to collect anti-dumping duties (ADD) from above five places.
